Shoulder Bursitis, pain and limited mobility

I've been dealing with pain in my shoulder, down my arm for almost a year. I finally went to the doctor when I realized it had not only gradually gotten worse but I was concerned that I was starting to have limited mobility along with the pain. The doctor said it sounded like tendonitis in my rotator cuff and sent me to PT. I did PT for over 4 months with no real change and they decided to do an MRI. The MRI showed bursitis in that area with some degeneration.

Since I wasn't seeing any real results with PT they decided to try cervical neck traction so I've done a couple of those so far. They want to try at least 8 of those and see if I see any results.
Last week I tried a steroid shot in the shoulder. I was hopeful that would work and give me some relief but nothing has changed. The doctor said we could try the shot again in a few months if it didn't work.

I'm starting to get a bit discouraged because I really don't see any change yet. I have pain going down my upper arm and if I overextend it trying to reach something or try to reach behind me I get a sharp pain. I also get a sharp pain if I move it too quickly. I can't freely move it, especially up or behind me, either.

Just wondering if there's something else we can try or if we just need to give this more time or what. I'm not sure how long this can typically last.
The PT lady told me that we'll give the cervical traction a try for a few weeks and if that doesn't really do anything then they'll send me to Orthopedics. She said worst case scenerio would be surgery and of course I wouldn't want that or think it would have to come to that but if there's any ideas as to what else we can try and if I just need to give this more time.
I'm kind of worried my arm may never go back to being normal again and I really don't want it to remain like this.

I've done 8 cervical tractions now and I do think I see improvement! I also noticed the headaches I was constantly getting were almost gone during this time. They still think this is all related to the DDD in my spine, causing the problems in my arm.
The PT wanted to try dry needling, too, so I tried that. So far, so good. I'm going to try it again in a week or so and continue with the stretches and exercises at home.

Starting to wonder if computer usage makes things work. The achiness and pain seems worse and has gradually been moving down my other arm, though thankfully I still have pretty good mobility in that arm but there's this constant achiness and dull pain going down both arms, even into the forearms.

Just otc medication like Motrin or Tylenol, as needed.

4 cervical tractions so far, they want to do 4 more. So far, I haven't noticed anything better with my arm or shoulder, though I noticed I haven't had the headaches lately.
