Bursitis with excessive bruising

1 week ago I was washing my floor (on my knees no longer than 10 minutes).  A few minutes later my knee felt tight and like I had a bruise.  After looking at it, I noticed a golf size swelling on the top of my knee.  When touched it felt like liquid in it.  I went to the Dr. the next day and he said it was Bursitis and to watch for redness and hot feeling as that is a sign of infection.  I have tried to ice it and rest whenever possible (not easy w/ 3 little ones).  The swelling has subsided but the wierd thing is the bruising.  I was bruised on my knee, but now it seems daily I have a new bruise and it's not directly on my knee.  It seems to be moving up and down my leg.  Is this something I should see my Dr. again for?

Hi Kerry1022, how are you? Well, it is better you consult a orthopedic doctor for evaluation and correction. Do not put lot of pressure like going on knees or squatting down. Apply warm pad or hot foment with warm water. Is it on one side or both sides and does the pain continue even at rest or while you sleep? Over the counter pain killers can bring down pain and any inflammation. Do update on the doctor visit and advice. Hope you get better soon. Take care.
