I went for my second opinion, DR. thinks what is causing the pain in a soft tissue injury. He has restricted any movement of my foot with a walking boot. Took more x-rays of the fracture said that it is healing. My foot feels better in the boot. I still have swelling. Im off for 2 more weeks.
I have found a Dr. to give a second opinion. His concerns were the same as yours. Thank you for your advise.
From a compensation standpoint, the best thing to do is to stay out for as long as possible.
Immobilization with a cast was at one time the mainstay, but current thinking is to immobilize but to permit some stressing. The stressing promotes healing.
The "popping" concerns me.
I would get a second opinion, as well as a 3T MRI.
Normally second opinions are fully covered by workman's comp, so don't hesitate to seek the best place.
