im having a four corner wrist fusion done on tuesday how long will i be in plaster havent been told any thing about it

Hello!
After surgery, you will wear an elbow length cast for about six weeks. This holds the wrist still while the ends of the bones fuse together.
Go for proper asepsis and follow up for post operative examination after one day and one week.
Stitches will be removed after 2 weeks and some stitches will get absorbed.
Take pain killers for 7-10 days.
You should keep your hand and wrist elevated above the level of your heart for several days to avoid swelling and throbbing. Keep it propped up on a stack of pillows when sleeping or sitting up.
