distal tibia fracture

Broke my posterior distal tibia 7 weeks ago today. Bone scan found the fracture 2 weeks ago. Going to see Ortho on tuesday. Still hurts a lot. Can't put my foot flat down (won't go flat) so walk on ball of foot only.Ankle will not move up or side to side downwards a little. So what am I expecting to hear when I go to see doctor. Any ideas.
Thanks

Went to see Ortho, I'm in a cast now for 2 weeks, pushed foot up to a 30 degree angle as that's all they could move it. Will be removed next thursday and another cast will be put on. They will try to get it to a 90 degree angle. If nothing works then surgery will probably be needed. Thanks

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi there!

Since it has already been 7 weeks since the injury, there are little chances that the fracture would heal by itself (if not already healed) and surgical measures with bone growth stimulation/ grafting may be required at this time; though the exact condition can only be known after seeing the images (x-rays/ CT). I would suggest discussing the management plan in detail with your treating orthopedician.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
