Hi.
Thanks again for your reply. I did visit that web site. It has a lot of info.
Doesn't a hematoma occur within a couple of days of surgery? Wouldn't it be red or something?
I've been on it alot today and right now since I sat down the nerve (the end of it anyway) is just jerking. Do you think it should be past this by now? It's been almost three months.
Thanks again!
Have a great day!
Hello.
I would like to add some information here from this website-
http://www.podiatrychannel.com/mortonneuroma/index.shtml
Morton's neuroma is usually found between third and fourth toes. After surgery, there are chances of recurrence of MN. Another complication is bleeding. Hematoma formation can lead to the pain.

Hello. Thanks for your reply.
What worries me about the pain near the base of my little toe is the fact that it is the same pain I had before the mn surgery. I'm afraid that the surgery wasn't where it should've been?
The base of the great toe really doesn't cause me much trouble anymore. I have the pain in the arch of my foot kind of like a cramp most all the time. The dr. thought the screw was causing it because it had been moving. I thought so too but now I'm not so sure.
The toes on that foot do not move easily at all. I try moving them and exercising them daily (what little they'll move). I also try massaging them and the end of the nerve on the bottom. That has really helped the 'live wire' feeling I think.
I have the most pain while walking. If I sit down awhile or after I'm in bed awhile it eases up. It does still take awhile for the nerve to 'settle down'.
I am really worried that the surgery wasn't the cure. I know that it takes time though.
Can you have a mn between the 4th and 5th toes? It is really very painful.
Thanks again. I appreciate all info.
Hello.
The pain near the base of the little toe is a result of the removal of the morton's neuroma. I hope the base of the great toe is ok now.
How are the movements at the toes? And do you feel pain while walking?
