Hemorrhagic cyst occurs when bleeding occurs within a cyst. Symptoms such as abdominal pain on one side of the body may be present with this type of cyst.  It will usually go away on it own.

I would suspect one of two things.  Either the hemorrhagic (blood) cysts have ruptured and are coming out or I know when I have missed one birth control pill I had spotting.  It messed up my period for that whole month.  Try to remember to take all your pills and at the same time. (I used to take mine before bed every night). Also, have you had any pain since being on the pill?
