How long for pain to subside? New to ovarian cysts

Hi, I am new to having ovarian cysts. Ultrasound confirmed a cyst on my left ovary and several functional cysts on my right. I'm going on 26 days now of back and pelvic pain. Just got back on oral contraceptives to help suppress more cysts last week. Is there an average period of time for the cysts to dissapate and the pain to go away? Im on prescription pain meds along with heating pad when it's especially bad. Scary to think how bad the pain would still be if I wasn't on pain meds.

I have an appointment to tomorrow with my ob/gyn. The size is relatively small from what I was told. Like an inch or so, but going around for a month with severe back ache and pelvic pain is horrible. I've had one cycle since this began. Thank you for responding. It's so hard to not get down when I don't have anyone who can relate to the pain and how draining it is to be told you just have to wait for them to go away.

I think they typically say 2 cycles or so. Do you have an appointment to go back to recheck? If you're still in that much pain in a couple weeks, I would probably call the office. Did they mention the size?
