Ovarian Cyst

I recently had an mri for leg/hip pain which ended up being an enflamed tendon.  The mri also reveals two small cysts in the "left adnexa" measuring 1 cm in size.  The RN at the orthopedic office said it was my ovary.  Should I be concerned about this and see my gynocologist?  I had a hysterectomy approximately 15 years ago and am 58 years old.

It couldn't hurt to see a gynecologist about this.  Did you complete menopause?  Any cyst that develops post-menopause should be investigated.

I would not be concerned, but, I would go to the gyn and have it checked....probably nothing.  There is a great forum for Ovarian Cysts.  There are many fabulous women over there that can probably offer more guidence and support regarding cysts.  This forum is mainly about Ovarian Cancer.
