Anybody out there?

I had a ct scan done for what we thought was an abscess on my kidney but it turned out to be a nodule on my adrenal glad, a 4.6cm x 5.3cm ovarian cyst, and a also was diagnosed with a lesion on my cervix within about 2 weeks of each other. I go and see the surgeon today and hopefully they will do all three procedures at once (removal of cyst, nodule, and a colposcopy of my cervix) instead of seperating them. Has anybody gone through this all at once or am I just weird?

I second everything Sandymac said and about the surgery, it all depends on the insurance you have as well. Some don't want to pay all at once and you'd have to do one at a time. I hope that's not the case. Talk to your doctor about it. Good luck!

Hi,
Glad you joined us on the ovarian cyst forum. I can't speak to the other issues, but Ovarian Cysts are very very common, and 95 % benign. Now, added to the other issues may be a little more unusual. I will tell you though, that I had one ovary removed along with fallopian tube (I'm a lot older than you , so there was no reason to save ovary) and at the same time I had a hysteroscopy along with D&C.. so the cervical colposcopy and cyst removal is easily done.. I'm not familiar with issues regarding the adrenal gland.. hopefully someone will check in with more experience on that .. Did you also check in the the "Women's Health".. Sorry... I don't mean to be sending all over the place..

I'm sure though that if the Drs feel it can all be done at one time, so much the better for you  !!

Let us know,
Sandy
