Done with Surgery

Well - I had surgery on Monday.  It looks like it was endometriosis.  Had to do a full hysterectomy.  Oh well - It WASN"T CANCER! Yippie!  Of course they will do more in depth biopsy and that will take a few weeks.  But doc said he was pretty confident.  In a little bit of pain mostly in the shoulders from the laproscopy, but other than that doing well.

I want to thank each and everyone on this board for their support, advice and encouragment.  It's meant so much.

I'll check back in later - going to get some rest :)

In May 07 I had a full hysterectomy due to endo also...I was 40 at the time..it hit me hard because i had many many complications..but truthfully I was so grateful it wasnt cancer...did they put you on any hormones?? I use the vivele patch which seems to be going well..I am glad you sound so great..I had it done abdominally with an extended hospital stay of 3 weeks...just take it easy..you may feel good but your body needs time to adjust and heal...Feel Good and stay well..Gia :)

I am so glad to hear the good news!  Please take it easy and get lots and lots of rest, even if you do feel good. It is so easy to overdo it!

Let us know how you are doing,

Congrats!  Get some good rest, and I hope you feel better tomorrow.

It's such a relief to have clear test results, I know...but you have to allow good time for your body to recover.  Any time I try to do too much, I get a fever and chills and have to go to bed.

I'm working for the third day from home, and today my hubby made me do it from our bed... he took good care of me, and I got a nice nap.

I wish the same for you.

Keep us posted on your healing, ok?

hugs,
Morrowville
