How is everyone doing?

Just wondering how everyone is.  It has been uncharacteristically quiet on the forum the last couple of days.  Also wanted to point out to anyone who is watching their waist line that MedHelp has rolled out their new food diary and it is fantastic at helping you track your calories.  Just put in your food and it gives you the calculations.  Take care and hope all are having a nice weekend.

Thanks Trudie,
After Lap, I have gained 2-3lbs. I better start watching my waistline. Now a days I am not getting enough sleep. I think my hormones are still misbehaving.

Hi Trudie.  Things are okay here.  Keeping myself busy until surgery date of July 10 (via laparatomy for removal of large mass and ovaries), and trying hard not to think about the outcome, recovery, etc.  This forum, as well as a couple of others, have been very helpful.  I'm usually on everyday, checking for new postings, information, etc.  Hope you are well.

Hi Trudie,
Just 17 days after lap surgery- 10 cm ovarian cyst on right ovary, 3 cm on left, both  ovaries removed...  Surgery went well, cysts benign and post op is going smoothly.  Even so, I hold onto the words of a woman who wrote on the forum - " Even if the procedure (lap) is less invasive, it is still MAJOR surgery, so take it easy."   Taking it easy isn't always easy!  I'm back teaching the last days of school, running around on weekends and Wham... this afternoon I was hit with that "funky" feeling I read about here!  I felt horrible and tried to access what was wrong... well, it didn't take me long to account my over-doing and off I went to bed for a two hour nap!  All who face this surgery, be good to yourselves, rest when you can, take it easy!

Maggie12345, I actually lost weight after my lap but then again I had put on 10 lbs due to the cyst.  With the hormones sleep is tough and I think we don't pay enough attention to how important it is to our metabolisms too.  Glad  both you and nanb209 are recuperating well.  Yes, it is so easy to overdo it.  Arent our bodies amazing?

Hershey66, the time while you wait can be so nerve wracking.  I was in such pain (mine was 16 cm) and had such anxiety - so glad my doctor gave me some meds to help.  I took a lot of bubble baths, drank a lot of red wine, and ate a lot of carbs in the time before surgery.  All I wanted was to have that darned thing out of me and to have life get back to normal.  Hope you can stay relaxed.

At least this posting showed that there wasn't a technical glitch.  It has pretty much seemed like an epidemic lately with so many women having issues.  When it got quiet the last couple of days I was worred posts weren't happening!  Have a good week!
