I am the only one?

So am I the only person on this forum still living with ovarian cysts after menopause?

Ok but now I must ask  . . . in what way was it helpful? I ask because I have experienced nipple changes along with cyst activity recently and I associate the two. The nipple changes  have mostly cleared up now but I am wondering if there is an actual association?

My gyn/onc requested that I bring the actual films to the appointment (I think they all have different preferences, so you might want to ask).  When I walked into the gyn/onc's office after my exam, he had my insides projected on a large screen on his wall!  Slightly disturbing, but it was actually helpful:-)

Thank you for the responses. I still haven't decided what to do but I did make an appointment with a Gyn Onc just because the American Cancer Society recommends it for any woman contemplating surgery to remove things (lol ovaries and stuff). My appointment is the 27th so I won't know any more until then. I will print out the radiology reports and bring them with me. I wonder if I should bring the actual films? Anyway here is the original post in case some one has had a similar experience and wants to offer advice:

It's funny but I just found a whole bunch of posts about this topic . . . couldn't find any before . . . brain fog I guess . . . anyway I am off to read all of them. Thanks again all!

No lupette your not the only one to get cyst after menopause, i have had too. Its a bit scarey as funnygirl said, there is a bit more risk but get to see your doctor in plenty of time and there is alot they can do to help. At least after the menopause if you do have your ovary's removed it's not such a big deal as there are so many young women on here that do have them removed who still want a family. Sorry i missed your post too lupette, you will get lots of support on here , it has helped me through a very scarey time of my life, keep posted and let us know how you are take care x

Nope you sure aren't.  There are many women who get cysts after menopause, but you have to be more careful because you have a greater risk of Ovarian Cancer.  Please make sure that you see your doctor ASAP if you think you have a cyst.  What kind of cyst do you have?  Do you have a plan of action in place?  I'm so sorry that I missed your earlier post.  Please keep us updated on how you are doing.  Good luck!
