9 cm left side 8 cm right side

Hi I have been told today I have some kind of cyst on each ovary. They are 9 cm ( left side) and 8 cm ( right side). I have been having pins and needles in my abdomen starting in approx the kidney area on my back and travveling round to the front and whilst having a CT scan to chack for kidney stones they have found the cysts.
They have taken full blood works today and are arranging an urgent gyne appointment for a viginal scan. I am 34 years old and have noticed a weight gain even though I am eating less and also fee like I have a chet infection as I am getting short of breathe a lot but no infection just that kind of feeling. Another complication is the evil migraines I have been suffering causing partial facial paralysis and total numbing tiredness for which no cause has yet been found.
Has anybody else had similar symptoms and if so what was the treatment ? To be honest really quite worried as I am feeling so rotten. Children are not an option for me due to an hereditary kidney disorder ( decided to get sterilised using clips 10 years ago to not pass teh disorder on) so will they opt for removal?

The ovarian cysts may be messing up your hormones terribly which could trigger the migraines. How is your blood pressure? But if you ever get the "worst migraine you ever had" it is advisible to seek medical attention immediately and be monitored. Classic migraines are usually associated with nausea and sensitivity to light. My large cyst has been causing alot of low back pain which radiates into my thighs and groin which I have been told can be pinched nerves. My cyst is coming out next week and I am kind of relieved that it will be gone quickly. I agree with Shelly on her advice. I just said a prayer that you receive proper care and recovery.

thanks both of you for your advice. I have been made an appointment for this Friday so within 2 weeks of them first being found. Bloody good for the nhs with all the cut backs! To be honest will be glad to get some answers and hopefully if they do remove them soon the horrible pins and needles I have got on my left side will be resolved as will the tiredness as I feel like I am dragging myself through the day at the minute. Fingers crossed it will all be over soon x

This doesn't sound good.  Since you aren't wishing to preserve fertility, I would think a an ooperectomy is the best option.  I recommend HRT in order to counteract the issues you will have from loss of hormones.  But, your cysts are large enough that you will not want ot watch and wait.  They can cause many issues even if they are benign.

Best Wishes,

Shelly

I'm so sorry for you!  Maybe the cysts are somehow pinching a nerve and that could be causing your migraines.  But I would defintately see a specialist about that and hopefully you can get a CT of your head to see if anyting else is wrong.  Best wishes to you!
