Ovarian Cyst Symptoms?

Hi, I have a couple of questions about ovarian cyst symptoms. Do ovarian cysts cause mid cycle spotting and lower back pain? And if so how common are these symptoms?
Thank you,
Corky

Yes, ovarian cysts can cause those symptoms. You don't say how old you are, but I do know that if you continue to have mid-cycle spotting, you need to see your ob/gyn about that. They will want to know why that is happening. Let us know!

I remember years ago when I had spotting.. actually I was hoping that I was pregnant , then the spotting and was then afraid I was miscarrying again. Turned out to be a cyst which resolved itself on it's own.. So I guess the answer would be yes. ..

This time, being much older, I did have the back pain..Not terrible but enough to know it was there.. Did you check out the "Health Pages" at the top right of this page? You may find some additional information there.
Take care,
Sandy

Hi , cysts can cause all sorts of symptoms including those you are experiencing, I  know back pain is very common but mid cycle spotting Im not too sure about . I know that some types of cysts can mess up your hormones and cause spotting but as I said Im not too sure how common that is.
