Ovarian Cysts cause Flank pain?

I have been having some right flank pain and thought it was bladder/kidney related. But ultrasound says no. Could this be from a cyst? Even a small one?

I had a pelvic exam and my gyno said she didn't feel anything but worried she might have missed something. I have been having pains where I believe my right ovary to be. It goes around my lower back and down my right leg. Also up in my right flank area!! Very worried and confused to what could be causing this!

I can't remember if you have your appendix or not?  Just another thought.  I had periodic "flare-ups" like that before I finally got my appendix out.  Some say I had "chronic appendicitis."  I don't believe they would see an ovarian cyst on an ultrasound of your bladder.  They need to do an internal ultrasound to get a really good view.  Hope this helps!

One other questions. I had a bladder ultrasound- if there was a cyst would it be noticed on that?
