Who else is in "wait and see"?

Who else out there is either waiting to see if a cyst will get smaller, or waiting for results of an ultrasound or biopsy, or waiting for an appointment or a surgery?  Let's encourage one another in these anxious days!

I have a 4.3 cm complex cyst on or near my right ovary, and I'm currently waiting to get referred to a different doctor for insurance reasons.  From what I've read, complex or septated cysts rarely just go away, and my symptoms are worsening since this critter's discovery 2 weeks ago.  If I need surgery, I want it IMMEDIATELY!  I also had an endometrial biopsy last Thursday, and am waiting for those results to rule out uterine cancer.  The ultrasound also revealed an endometrioma or degenerating fibroid in the "cornu" of the uterus (the report said this could also be an ectopic pregnancy, but was "clinically unlikely," being that I'm 48 and my partner has had vasectomy!).

So, any ladies out there who have been through the waiting time and have any words of comfort or encouragement, I'm sure those of us IN this limbo would love to hear from you!

I too am in the wait and see.  I have an appointment on Friday to see my gyn.  I went to my DR last Tuesday due to severe pain.  The nurse practitioner did a pelvic exam and said she felt a "rather large cyst" so she sent me to have a CT done (ultrasounds do not show cysts for me due to very bad scar tissue, and staples from a previous surgery).  It came back that there was no cyst, but a LOT of scar tissue.  The nurse practitioner and I believe that my cyst is surrounded by scar tissue so it can't be seen.  I am still in some bad pain and I hope that the gyn will schedule me for surgery very soon.  Hopefully next week.  I think encouraging each other is a great idea, as the waiting can seem unbearable!

by "junk in it," do they mean it's a dermoid cyst?  From what I've heard and read, I don't think blood in urine is usually associated with cysts.  Do you otherwise feel okay?  No fever or headache or other sign of infection?

I don't know anything about CA125 - is 9.5 a high or low number?  My doc said that she wouldn't bother with it for me because it would show up high because of the cyst, but other people's docs seem to think it can be helpful.  Maybe I should reconsider that.

me...I'm waiting to find out if my cyst with "junk" in it is going to shrink or grow....mine is small, doc said about the size of two finger tips, and has stuff in it and my CA125 came back as 9.5.  Just got a new symptom today, I am possibly passing blood in my urine!  Weeee.  Nothing else looked abnormal on my TVUS.

I hope you get good news, the waiting can sometimes be so much harder because you don't know exactly what you are dealing with!!!!

My follow up US is towards the end of Feb.
