cysts while on the pill

I have been on Yazmin for about two and a half years for PCOS (I am 35).  I experienced no problem on this pill, but recently I have started feeling a dull pain on my right ovary.  Can you still have cysts while on the pill?  Any feedback is appreciated.

Hi Jada, and welcome to the fourm.  You can definately have a cyst while on birth contorl pills.  Sometimes the doctor will put you on BCP's to see if it will help keep you from developing cysts, but you can still develope them while taking the pill.  I would ask your doctor for a transvaginal ultrasound.  It will help the doctors tell what is going on.  Please call your doctor tomorrow and see if you can get an appointment.  I would suggest calling your gyn for the advice on what to do.  Good luck.  Please let us know what you find out.

Hugs,
Kasie
