Ovarian cyst/thickening of the uteris wall

I recently had an ultrasound done, cause i have been spotting alot ,swollen belly, painful intercourse, back pain, nausea, tired all the time, weight gain, abd pain, discharge, smelling odfor, and soft stools, the doctor said that  their could be an endometrial polyp and that there was some thickening in the uteris wall  and poss a dermoid cyst. They are sending me to a specilist but it's a month away and i told them that im in alot of pain and i feel it's something that is urgent but they told me that they don't feel it is urgent. I am in pain, do you have any idea if this stuff can cause this much pain and should i wait that long. Or if i need to go somewhere else for a second opinon.

Fibroids can cause your cycles to be messed up, as well as adnormal bleeding and cramping.  Your situation was what I was going through (bleeding one week on, one week off, one week on) and the OBGYN did an u/s, found small cysts on my ovaries and 2 fibroids on my uterus.  He also believed I wasn't ovulating, which is why I was bleeding more than normal.  He put me on Prometrium (progesterone supplment), I started bmy period AND ovulated on time.  If you are in pain I wouldn't hesitate to go to the ER.

Hi,
How old are you? Endometrial polyps among other things can definitely cause spotting between periods. Have you been told you have fibroids? These too can mess up your cycles... If you are having alot of pain, I agree with Angie above, go back to the doc or go to the ER
Take care and let us know how you make out...

Hi ,
If you are in so much pain I would not wait a month, I would go back to my doctor and explain how you are feeling , If you feel like you aren,t being taken seriously then it may be time to look for another doctor !!! .
If things get too bad you should go to ER , they will at least be able to give you some pain relief .

Best wishes Angie
