ovary soreness only at night

For the last couple months I've been having ovary soreness during the last 2-3 days of my periods. It was sort of a mild discomfort on the right ovary and always came up at the end of the day (6pm-bedtime). Relief could be found laying flat on the bed. Well, I 'm 10 days past my period now and the soreness have been really bothering for the last 3 days. The same side and the same hours. Well last night it was kind of painful and I had to resort to heating pads. The soreness/pain was like a sine wave that comes and goes every 6 minutes or so. I have history of ovarian cyst they are only painful when rupture... And this was not the same kind of pain. Could it be the estrogen level? Why only the right side? and why only at night? During the day I don't feel a thing, like it never happened!

My dr appointment is next monday and I just want to have an idea of what might be going on before that. Thanks

Good luck, I couldn't get any answers today after waiting to see gyno for a month.  He took a bioposy of my uterus and told me to wait for the ultra sound.  My ovaries have been gassy at night for months now, so much that I have to get up because I feel like I'm going to be sick.
