Recurring dermoid cyst

I am having my second surgery on my right ovarie in one week to remove a dermoid cyst the size of an orange, this will be my second surgery on the right ovarie, I discussed with my doc. to remove the whole ovarie because I don't feel that I need it anymore sence she said there was not much of it left. I'm just concerned that this same thing will happen to my left ovarie and have to have repeat surgerys. I was wondering if they will start to come up on the remaining ovarie? I know I have had them on the left ovarie before I just wonder i they willget worse sence the right ovarie will be gone.

I can understand what you are going through, as I have had several surgeries to remove cysts and or ovaries.  If you do not need the ovary, then I would recommend getting it taken out.  It is possible that you may get cysts on the left ovary, or none at all.  Good luck on your surgery next week.  Please keep us posted on how you are doing.  Prayers coming your way.

It is possible to get cysts on the remaining ovary, but really nobody can predict something like this.  Just hope for the best.  You may go for years without another problem, or none at all.  Best wishes on your upcoming surgery.
