Sciatica disappeared after cyst surgery!

I had my op 2 days ago to remove cyst, ovary & tube and the sciatica I've had on and off for 8 years has disappeared!  The last pain killers I took was 15 hours ago so shouldn't still be in my system so keeping my fingers crossed that the cyst was causing the sciatica!  It will all have been worth it just for that!

I just wanted to add that I've just realised I'm now able to read the newspaper and on-screen text without my +1 reading glasses!

I'm now thinking of booking in to see the optician who originally spotted the pressure behind my eye and have my eyesight checked again!

to be honest, I didn't even know I had the cyst until probably May this year.  My sciatica has always been down my left leg and the cyst was on my left ovary.  That is the only thing I know.  I guess the longer I am pain free the more it'll convince me that the two were connected.

That would be great news.  Cysts do put pressure on nerves and create painful conditions.  Do you think you had cysts for the same number of years as the sciatica?  If not, there may not be a connection.  Of course it is possible that surgery made enough positive difference anyway.
