Surgery - June 1st

To anyone following my case . . . I went to the GYN/OC today. He reviewed my last 3 ultrasounds and examined me. It all happend really fast! My surgery is sceduled for Tuesday June 1st at 7:30 AM. I am having a robotic assisted laparoscopic hysterectomy. If all goes well I will be in and out the same day. If not . . . well not sure. I will cross those bridges if I get to them and hopefully . . . I won't. I have heard that positive thoughts are good in these cases, so please keep me in your thoughts next Tuesday early. :)

I will be praying for you!!  I am so glad that you were able to get in for surgery so quickly.  Before you know it, you will be relaxing on your couch and be so glad that you are home and on your way to recovery.  My gynecologist told me that the robotic surgery is one of the best and easiest to recover from.  We are all here for you wishing you well and most importantly praying for you!

Good luck.  I'm so glad you are getting this done so quickly and that you seem to have a wonderful doctor treating you.  I'm also a Lupus sufferer.  I hope the surgery doesn't stir up a bad flare.  Make sure you have what you need to help you with that as well as to recover from your surgery.  Treat your recovery like a vacation - it is all about you right now and other than a bit of walking to relieve gas, rest is the name of the game.  Get your movies, books, magazines, all set and ensure you have food frozen and dready for quick reheating.  Take care and I will keep you in my prayers.

Thank you for the well wishes. I haven't been feeling well of late so I am happy this is going quickly! I will be happy to put it all behind me. The surgery will remove everything vaginally and then they will will examine it to see what is going on. If they find anything out of the ordinary, they will go after it right then and there. the Dr. said that the Da Vinci machine will be able to handle most of the possible negative outcomes, and that only in the worst case scenarios, would they have to do abdominal surgery as well. I am hoping for the best and prepared for the worst. I will keep a positive outlook no matter what the outcome. I will post here afterward to let you all know what happened. In the meantime, thank you for your thoughts and prayers. They are well appreciated.

Oh . . . lupette is not my real name. I have used it for online stuff since 1997 when I was diagnosed with lupus. Take care all.
