The free fluid is usually a sign of a recently ruptured ovarian cyst that was fluid filled. It is usually a harmless although painful event. But it could result in an infection while the body tries to heal itself and reabsorb the fluid.
The other information appears to indicate that a cyst is still visible so it might be an additional cyst that is still present or the remains of the one that ruptured. Complex cysts and solid features can be worrisome and need to be monitored closely by your doctor. Were you given any information regarding the size of the cyst? The doctor should explain the ultrasound results to you in more detail and what follow up he/she thinks is appropriate. Was this done by a gynecologist?
It means you have a complex cyst that will need to be removed. It is a suspicious one but still over 95% are benign. The free fluid can mean that you had another cyst that was likely a functional cyst that has burst. What is your doctor saying?
