More than a year ago, just after my marriage, I started gaining weight. I didn't consider it a medical threat because I keep gaining and losing. But this time I didn't lose the weight. A few months after I had irregular menstrual cycles. After a few months I was diagnosed having PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) with multiple cysts in both ovaries sizes ranging from 38-40 mm. I started taking Dian-35. I took it for 3 months and went on a diet. On my fourth month my menstrual cycle was on time but I still gained weight. My TVS showed that my cysts persist and they remain the same size, no improvement at all, my doc said it's very likely that I won't be able to lose weight and that I should have a child ASAP. But neither I nor my husband plan on having a baby so soon, not before another year and a half or so. My question is, am I susceptible to complications when I bear a child? What are the consequences of persistent ovarian cysts? Can I wait another year or two for a child or should I conceive as soon as possible?
