breakthrough bleeding or something serious?

Was put on b.c. 2 weeks ago after my lft ovary regrew itself and another cyst, along with a 6cm cyst on the rt ovary. I had very intense pain that woke me up on thursday @ 3am but this improved after about 30 min with pain med & heating pad. Fri when i got up I found I was bleeding. I asked my primary doc about the bleeding hwen I got to work (i work in the same office) and she said it was probably normal from my body adjusting to the hormones of the b.c. and maybe I needed a higher dose. Well she checked my dose and it was the second highest strength but she said it was probly still normal to just watch it. Well this is day 3 of bleeding and it has not gotten better, its actually a little heavier but not as heavy as a period (which i just got off of a week ago) My appetite is gone and when I do eat im nauseated. Does this sound normal to you? Or should I be headed for the ER?

Saw doc yesterday no burst. He didnt say anything about infection or torsion but they did do a v.u.s and I would think they wouldve seen torsion..?
The bad news was that the "presumed lft ovary" is still there and growing (had lft oopherectomy in May). He thinks that is an ORS with a mass/cyst on it. AND the cyst that was on the right ovary has grown to 3.2x2.4 AND it now has a sister cyst measuring 2.3x1.9.
Was basically told that another surgery(full hyst/bilat oopherec.) was inevitable but I could try to postpone by giving the birth control another month to see if it will slow/shrink things instead of sending everything into overdrive. If after a month and that wasnt succesful we could try a shot every 3 months assuming I was handling the pain ok. So, guess Im playing the waiting game. Oh, I have kidney stones on top of all this too.
  Thanks for replying Trudie.

You need to be checked for torsion or bursting and possible infection.  You may get some peace of mind by heading to the ER to have it checked.
