ovarian cyst

Just had an ovarian cyst removed this Tuesday. Bleeding is normal after this surgery but what is the normal time bleeing should occur?

You may or may not have bleeding.  I did not have bleeding with either of my ovary removals.  It just depends on your body.  If you are soaking a pad every half hour, then you need to get to the ER because you could have opened your internal stitches.  Bleeding can last for a week to a few weeks (should just be spotting after a week or so).  Are you bleeding, or just anticipating it?

It varies by patient, where you are in your menstrual cycle, etc.  It is only considered "bad" if you soak a super absorbent napkin every 1/2 hour or so (that is excessive bleeding that needs medical attention).  I would say the bleeding is probably more than a normal period, though, and perhaps for more days than average.
