It is possible that you could have Endometriosis. Did they say what type of cyst it was?
Have you always had cramps during your period or did this just start?
How old are you?
If it is a functional cyst yes it will go away, if it is an Endometrioma or a Dermoid cyst it would have to be removed depending on size.
Because you are having a lot of pain I would go back to you doctors to get answers. Sometimes they will put you on the birth control to see if it shrinks the cyst, have you gotten that far yet?
Hi,
How are you? There are different types of ovarian cysts such as polycystic ovaries, endometriomas, cystadenomas, and dermoid cysts. These may present with pain or bloating in the abdomen; difficulty urinating, or frequent need to urinate; dull ache in the lower back;pain during sexual intercourse; painful menstruation and abnormal bleeding; weight gain; nausea or vomiting and even loss of appetite. Treatment usually depends on the type and symptoms present. It is best that you have this checked by your doctor for proper evaluation. Take care and do keep us posted.
