endometriosis help

Hi,I was diagnosed With endometriosis back in February of last year when the doc preformed Laparoscopic surgery where they cauterized an endometrial cysts on my ovary and did a D&C, less than 3 weeks after surgery all my endo symptoms returned.
I suffer constantly with low grade fevers, lower back pain, pelvic pain, lower abdominal pain, headaches, extreme fatigue,  and from time to time I'll also have pain/burning in my upper thighs.
I've tried some birth control pills tho I can't currently remember the name brand.  They didn't help at all. If there is any specific brand that works best for controlling endo symptoms please let me know, other than that I'm at the point to where it seems like my only relief is
going to be a full hysterectomy
any advice would be much appreciated

Since endo implants are usually found throughout the pelvis, it is difficult to manage the disease and there is no cure. A "full" hysterectomy (removal of the uterus, ovaries, and tubes) is no guarantee for relief since you will likely be left with endo elsewhere. There are plenty of women who had hysterectomies for endo and had no or only temporary pain relief. Also, hysterectomy (with or without ovary removal) has its own set of long-term after effects since our organs have LIFELONG functions.

I hope you can find the information you need to get the best possible care for your condition. Best of luck!

Hi!  I wish I could help, but I know very little about endometriosis.  There is an endometriosis forum on this website that seems more active than this page.  If you don't get a response here, maybe try there?

Good luck!
