Once your doctor gives the OK for exercise, you can exercise. Until then, I'd limit it to walking around to get around the house. It takes a while to heal. I was 21 when I had my cyst removal surgery. No way anything good would have come from much more than that a week in. Even after a month, going to walk around campus was still somewhat painful, though doable, and I was in pretty good shape before the surgery. Consult with your surgeon/doctor regarding what your limitations are personally.
Your doctor should have provided post-op instructions. Sometimes I forget I tucked those in my purse. But he or she expects you to call with questions. It's okay and they would rather get a call than have you try something you shouldn't.
Welcome to the community. I hope your recovery is going well. Yes, please call your surgeon if you did not get specific post-op instructions.
