I am in exactly the same boat! I just had an 8cm cyst removed along with my right ovary and a week later I was back in the ER with a cyst on my left ovary that had burst.

I have heard that birth control pills can help decrease them, so maybe talk to your doctor about that?

Pain is a very common symptom of cysts and I do recall reading other stories here of pain being in the opposite side of the cyst, so it is probably not uncommon.

I think thin walls are better than thick walls, but you have age on your side, cancer is very rare in women younger than 40. Hopefully it is just a harmless functional cyst or infection.

Best of luck, i hope it resolves on its own.

Hello tnx for replying

the size of the cyst is 1.8cm its no attach to my ovaries of fallopian tubes
my gyn gave me antibiotic for 10days she thinks it might be just an infection but if not she said something about it being paraovarian cyst or paratubal cyst
she said the cyst has thick wall and immovable

can this type of cyst cause so much pain the cyst is on the left side but im having more pain on the right sometimes in the middle and left side
im also urinating frequently

i read somewhere that these are signs of ovarian cancer
do you think the characteristic of my cyst can be cancerouse?

im praying and hoping that its just an infection but i never had this kind of pain before

Hi,
Cysts are common in the child bearing age group. Such cysts commonly occur because of hormonal changes in the menstrual cycle and will usually resolve spontaneously. Some of the cysts may require hormonal therapy. The nature and size of the cyst needs to be determined. Consult a gynaecologist for an evaluation.
Hope this helps.
