Can ADD meds make your tolerance higher

I was put on Opana 10 for my back by my PM doc when there was the shortage of the oxy going. After that my regular doc put me on Ritalin 10 mg 2xday for my adult ADD. I have been having trouble with the Opana lasting like it should. I find it's wearing off at the 3 hr mark instead of around 5 hrs. I was prescribed the Opana 10 IR  4xday, but it's not lasting. I have an appointment with my PM doc next month, but I hate the thought of telling him that this new medicine just isn't hacking it. I've had a problem with Loratab before where it wasn't lasting and I ended up self-dosing and my script running out early, and yes my dr knew because I told him about it. I just don't know what to do though. Could it be that the ritalin is making my system run through the opana faster? Or am I just becoming addicted?

I would definately ask both of your doctors and your pharmacist about this, also there are longer lasting meds that can be used anyway, there are still options for you.
good luck

I do not know of any contradictions but there could be some there. talk to your docotr or pharmasist and they can tell you. I am assuming each doctor knows of the others presciptions. Also always use the smae pharmacy so that you will be safe of any interactions that are not safe.
