Tummy pains

So, about two years ago I started getting ripping and tearing pains on the right side of my stomach below my belly button.  They figured it was just cysts, so I have been on birth control since then.  However, I still get the pains...sometimes they are so bad I literally cannot stand up without being in horrible pain.  I went to the hospital for it a few months ago and they did a catscan and said nothing was wrong with me! It got realllly bad again, so I went to the hospital about a week ago and they did another catscan (without contrast) and said there was nothing noticeably wrong.  This pain scares me a lot because I always worry it's my appendix, and it also restricts me greatly...I am a student and need to be able to walk to class, and with this pain sometimes that is very difficult to do.  I've tried advil and painkillers and they usually don't help at all.  What should I do?

does it hurt more if you push in on the spot on your belly or when you release the pressure on your belly?

Maybe adhesions?

Any previous surgeries in the abdominal/pelvic area?
