My doctors daughter lied

My doctor had a stroke a year ago so after that his daughter began to help with his practice. Instead of talking to him we had to speak with her unless we were at the appt. His daughter lives in alaska so I have to wait until noon here in VA to call her because of the time difference. Well I'm under my moms insurance & the new one we just recieved didn't cover my meds so I texted his daughter to do a Prior authorization before my meds were due & she didn't reply. So I showed up to my docs office and he called her to do the PA. Well she waited on till the day it was due instead and to find out they didn't cover it even with the PA. So I applied for Medicare just for the pharmacy to approve my meds. I had to pay out of pocket but they were gonna give me a refund if I had a PA with Medicare, well I tried to contact her and she said she wouldn't be doing it today which was Wednesday and I only had until Friday. She said that was unfortunate so on Thursday I texted her and I never got a reply so on Friday I texted her and four hours went by without a reply so I sent an email to my doctor telling him that I hadn't seen a reply. well after four minutes she texted me saying she called it in and blah blah. well she said my doctor forwarded her my  email saying She wasn't replying which is false, I didn't even text her back so later that night which was Halloween I checked my email and she emailed me saying I was discontinued for having Medicaid and for lying to my doctor which is not true. She said she forwarded him our convo but if she sent everything he would see where she wouldn't reply for days. When I read the email I told my mom and she said who is the daughter so I pulled out her Facebook and come to find out every time me and her had a convo she was posting it on Facebook. I want to go to my docs office tomorrow and show him all the proof where I was telling him the truth. But my question is, can they discontinue me over false information even if I show I wasn't lying.

This thread was originally posted in the Substance Abuse forum; that's why IBK responded the way she did.  It was later moved to this forum...

This not about me "trying to get and stay off of drugs" this is me asking for advice on what to do about my doctors daughter constantly being rude & posting it on fb. And how to go about this with my doctor since it is his daughter

Welcome to the Pain Forum.

While your question is not quite what we deal with, I have no idea what other forum you should try, so let's address your problem.

Sounds like two egos at work here -- yours and the doc's daughter. You're never going to win that battle.

I would suggest that you call your doctor's office and ask him to call you back to talk it over. If that doesn't resolve the issue, find another doctor.

She made it seem like I was lying to my doctor when I never once lied. So because of that she wrote me an email saying I was no longer to be seen. But I want to talk to my doctor and explain everything.  This is my first time on this site so I didn't know where to post.

I don't understand exactly why you got discharged by your doctor but it does appear that there were some HIPPA violations.  I'm not sure though because your missive was difficult to follow.

I don't understand what you're talking about really. Were you trying to get pain meds? If so, you should ask to have this post moved to Pain Mngt. this community is for members who are trying to get and stay off of drugs.

A doctor can "discontinue" you without a reason. It is their choice. Again, speak with e members in Pain Mngt. Hopefully they will be able to help you. Good luck.
