IBS?

For a couple of weeks i have been experiencing backaches, cramps, and it takes a very long time for me to fall asleep. I am 17. A couple of days ago, I was asleep then awaken by a pain in my stomach, then i went back to sleep. The next day (or maybe he same day don't remember) I rushed to the restroom, and I couldn't go at first then i threw up. After that i had diarrhea. During all of the weeks of backaches and such, my diarrhea came and went but, it wasn't until the first time i threw up that all the pains grew worse. After every meal my stomach hurts. Yesterday i ate dairy queen and right after my stomach cramped. I went home. Couldn't go, so i took a nap to ease the cramps, then i woke up & ate arbys. I still couldn't go so my sister gave me some Dulcolax(overnight relief) because it was getting late. First i took 2, and nothing happened so i took one more. its 1-3 tablets daily. IT DID NOT HELP. I was just constipated until this morning along with more cramps. I finally used the bathroom, but this time i threw up again, (orange, i'm guessing stomach acid) and had diarrhea, It was horrible. Now i have to keep going back to the bathroom cause i'm never finished. My stomach still hurts i'm just drinking water. I ate some grapes & thats it this morning. Advice please?

Oh Sweetie, you need to go the doctor, ASAP.  Melissa is absolutely correct.  I'm not going to diagnose you because I'm not a doctor.  But as Melissa said it could be IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), you could have an intestinal blockage or something else altogether.

So please have your parents or guardians get you to the doctor first thing in the morning.  You stand a very good chance of getting dehydrated.  You may want to sip on some Gatorade or a similar sports drink ( NOT an energy drink or anything with caffeine.  Caffeine will make it worse). If you can't keep Gatorade down, suck on some ice chips.

And get to the doctor.  Please let us know what happens.  We'll be worried about you until you check back in.

And welcome to our community.  We are not doctors but there are some very smart people here.  And we will help you in any way we can.

Hi ! It sounds like you having a real bad time of it ! I am so sorry you have been so sick and in pain.I would suggest you go see your Dr asap .I had similar symptoms as you back in Jan and it got so bad I was in the hospital for 5 days .I was diagnosed with IBS.Now I am not saying that is what you have .I am not qualified to diagnose anyone .However, I do say with the symptoms you are showing you need medical care .Call your Dr and make an appointment or if your symptoms become worse go to the ER .You can easily become dehydrated  with diarrhea and vomiting  Please get checked out .Welcome to this forum and let us know how you are doing .I hope you feel better soon .Take care Melissa
