I agree it sounds like sciatica. I get almost all the same feeling except the hotness part. I do get a lot of numbness though on the backside of my legs and toes. I get the burning feeling in my lower back and then it radiates down my legs. There may be something going on with your lumbar spine.
Hi Hottelgsin,
Welcome to MedHelp's Pain Management Community. I am glad that you found us and posted your concern and explained your pain.
I know when we are busy caring for our children or others we put your health and pain on the back-burner. It's not good practice but we all do it. The problem when we neglect a medical issue is that sometimes it becomes so severe that repair or treatment is much more difficult or worse, not possible. So first let me strongly encourage you to consult your PCP and obtain a diagnosis. Additionally we have to be at our best to give good care to those that we love. Uncontrolled pain can dominate our days and nights.... when that occurs it's extremely difficult to function at our best. Sadly nothing we may offer you will significantly ease your pain.
"Sharp shooting," or "fire" pain is usually indicative of nerve involvement. You may have nerve entrapment. Bilateral leg pain may mean stenosis (narrowing) in your spine which would cause nerve(s) compression. It's very possible it could be sciatic pain but I would not begin a new exercise or stretching regime until you have a diagnosis.
You sound like a great mom. I encourage you to make an appointment with your PCP for a good clinical examination. He/she should have the answers you are seeking.
Please let us know how you are doing. I will be interested to hear what your PCP has to say. I wish you the very best and again encourage you to take care of you too!!
Peace,
~Tuck
Sounds like it might be sciatic pain, but it could also be a herniated disk in your back. Best to get checked by a doc. There are some great stretches that will help if it is sciatic pain.
