I have been having uncomfortable, numb and painful left shoulder for 6 months now. Anxiety and stress seem to make it worse.  At times it gets to my head and scares me. I've had ECG, x-ray and blood test but cause has not been detected and medication hasn't helped at all.

It sounds like the Doctor has ruled a few things out for you. Have you ever had your Spine evaluated?

This might be worth mentioning to your Doctor.

I just finished reading your comments. Six months is a long time to be in
pain. I see you've had an x-ray, an EDG and a blood test. Have you have
an ultrasound of your left shoulder? If you haven't, I believe you can have
an ultrasound of your shoulder. You say your shoulder feels numb.
Perhaps a chiropractor might be able to help you.  Another thing that
comes to mind in a condition called frozen shoulder. My mom has frozen
shoulders and she says it's extremely painful. Try asking her doctor
for an ultrasound of your shoulder if this hasn't been done.
There's a product called Voltarin. You can buy it in a drug store. This
is a cream to relieve muscle pain.There is also another product called
Ultimate Pain Rub Relief Cream by a company called Kalaya.
You can buy this product on the shopping channel or online at www.theshoppingchannel.com . I've purchased this cream for my
husband and myself as we both have arthritis and the cream is helpful
for this. My mom also uses both of these creams for her frozen shoulder.
The kalaya product is a natural pain block anti-inflammatory. It's not
expensive and it really helps with pain. Hope you will be able to use
