So glad to hear you are beginning to feel better and that the Ibuprofen is helping some. But, still hope you will see another doctor if it continues for much longer or worsens again. Keep us posted.

I couldn't take in deep breaths when my gallbladder went out. The pain was so bad it knocked me down on the floor and I almost blacked out. I went to the ER and they said it was a pulled muscle and to check back with my reg doctor if things were not any better. It took the doctors 3 months to figure out my gallbladder stopped working.
I'm a little shocked the way that the ER treated you. There are a few other things that it could be also. I'd make an appoinment with your doctor right away tomorrow morning. Good luck.
I'm glada that you checked on it and hope that you WILL follow up on it!
Look forward to hearing from you tomorrow.....Sherry
Hi, thanks for your concern and yes i plan to return tomorrow if the pain is still present, you and every one else have been very helpful and i thank you for your concern. i will keep you updated.
Thanks again.

Sorry , I meant to say "I'm so VERY sorry" , NOT I'm so VERY worry ..... :)
Good Luck....Sherry
Hi Reece,
I want to welcome you to the Pain Management Forum and let yo know that weDoctors on this Forum AT all. We are ALL CP ( Chronic Pain ) Patients and help each other with the expertise and experiences that we have had with our OWN CP.
I'm so VERY worry that you are experiencing this pain. I know how worrisome and PAINFUL something like this can be.
REMEMBER, NONE of us are Doctors, NOW that said, it really sounds as if you have pulled a muscle in some way and it is effecting the feeling that you have when you take DEEP breaths. If it isn't better tomorrow, I'd CALL my Doctor and be see what he/she says. Now IF it should get a lot worse then it wouldn't hurt to check it out at a Walk-In Pain Clinic. I see that you are from Darlington, England so I'm don't know if you have anything such as that over there.
I hope that you will let us know how you are feeling and what the Dr. says as we are all concerned about you, our NEW Friend.....Sherry
hi thanks for your advice i just returned from a&e where they told me i have some sort of cheast pain and just to take ibuprofen. they kept asking me whether or not i had pain in my neck, i didnt have at the time and told them so all the way on the drive home i had neck pain and called them back to ask them if i should worry and as i knew he said no and told me just to take ibuprofen again. they only ran a water test and checked my heart and said that those tests came back fine so i dont know were the doctor had got his diagnosis. the pain is still there and in my oppinion not enough tests were performed. il just have to wait and see how it goes.
Thanks Reece.
Please go to the ER. In my opinion, there are some things that you have to be really careful about--breathing, hives, chest pain, slurred speech, etc.
PLEASE go to the emergency room and keep us updated! I once had such trouble breathing and after 7 days out of work, I went to the ER. I thought I only had the flu. It was a Saturday. They told me that all week I was having an acute asthma attack (along with the flu) and they gave me breathing treatments, etc. They told me that I was unwise (in not so nice words, lol) for not going to the doctor's or the ER sooner, and that I was very lucky. You could hear my breathing across the room, it was so loud...and I never thought to use my inhaler.
Anyway, please go!

ok, im just not 100% sure its that bad although i am worried and i have had no physical harm so i cant see it being brtoken ribs. the pain is strang it moves the deeper i breathe.
Personally, I think you should go immediately to the emergency room of your nearest hospital, or at the least you should contact your physician. This could be serious, and the causes could be numerous... broken ribs, pneumonia, internal shingles, etc. I have had serious pain trying to breath both when I ended up having pneumonia and when I had "internal" shingles, with no external rash. A brother had similar pain when he had broken ribs that were pressing on his lungs.
