sorry about the spelling, I just re-read my post and I'm horrified at how bad I actually am at spelling. We need a spell check button on this site!!! LOL
I'm sorry to hear about the pain you are having and the difficulites you are going though. I've had similar problems with my stomache, had my gallbladder removed, diagnosed with IBS had endoscopy's and colonoscopy's and swallowed the camera pill and my gastroenterologist could find nothing wrong with me, I couldn't keep anythin down when it would get bad and I coudln't function. One day I was at my Rheumatologist for my Psoriatic Arthrits and for some reason i told him about my stomach problems and he mentioned Fybromyalgia / chronic diffuse myofacial pain syndrome to me, He said he thought I had that so I went home and did some research and BAM for me a lot of the stomache problems I've been having could be covered by this diagnosis. When I saw that Dr again I told him what I'd found and he put me on Cymbalta and Soma. I havent' had a stomach problem since ( except constapation and diareah from other meds) there are drawbacks to cymbalta ( an anti-depression med) as with most medications but, If you find you go on forever and cant seem to find a reason for your pain, maybe it is something worth looking into. After you have ruled everything else out. of coarse. Surprisingly pain medications do not help this condition which is mainly about pain, but if you do have fybromyalgia and take the right meds for it, you wont need pain medication.
Best of luck, and please know that I mean this only as a possiblilty after you have tried absolutely everything else. Many doctors don't even consider this a real condtion, Especially the ER doctors I have seen, which is really sad.

I had horrible pains after my gallbladder was taken out for a long time. I have no idea why either, but the pain did subside. They did not treat me with very much pain medications afterwards(maybe a week after?). I couldn't sleep on my right side for over two years after the surgery.
I don't think your surgeon did anything wrong. I just had a spinal fusion 3 months ago and my surgeon stopped filling my rx after two weeks from surgery. I'm in pain management and getting my medications and injections through my pm doc.
That will depend on the pain management clinic and how they think they should treat your pain. You may or may not be treated with pain medications. I would first go to your primary doctor and see what they think too. You may want to see a specialist for your chrons.
Good luck.
