chest rib pain 4 years

I've been in severe upper rt chest and abdomenal pain for 4+ yrs. Had pancreatits 3x plus the same pains all my life.  But now it is destroying my life. had to stop work 2 yrs ago.  Pain is like a baseball thrown at me full speed is now lodged into my chest. goes dee[ but also felt on top of chest.  Ziphroid swollen, ribs hurt, abdomen swoollen like 8 mos pregnant.  Daily fevers, hemangioma in my fibrotic liver. Cysts on ovaries, Dysmenorea, severe pms 3- 4 wks a month. Osteoperosis, high trig's, levoscoliosis lower spine, gaulblader removed with yrs scar tissue, prior internal bleeding after appendectamy, swelling everywhere, gain and loose 10lbs thruought ech month, swollen lymph nodes and cheeks, fibromyalgia, hands don't listen to my brain n hurt,legs numb daily, veins constricted n 3 nurses try to put in iv every time I go to ER which is monthly due to pain not controlled by my pcp who doesnt give a darn about none of this. .  Could I have scar tissie, adhesions, chostochondritis, tietze syndrome, chostochondrititis, vasculitis, sarcoidosis, cystic fibrosis, lupus????? I'm dieing and can;t get proper care from my pcp. I have 4 yr old boy who trys to do magic tricks to save me from the pain.  I want to rip my chest open!! Please help me.  I need dr HOUSE! Where do I find one?  What do I do??? Lay down n die?

sorry you're having so many difficulties and pain right now.
Tuck is dead right about finding another doctor to treat your pain.
We all know how frustrating it is to have to go to an ER for pain relief. It's a last resort for all of us. Your Dr isn't doing his job properly if you're going to the ER once a month.
You don't need that aggravation at all.
I'm in the process of finding a new Dr now, it's a hassle, and I don't want to have to start from scratch AGAIN, but I have to do this. I'm the one who suffers if i put it off.
I hope you can find an answer to your pain soon, if not, please consider trying to find a Dr better suited to your needs.

Hello Angie,

I hear your pain, frustration and misery in your post. I am sorry you are having so much pain and discomfort.

Your largest issue in my opinion comes from your statement, "my pcp who doesnt give a darn about none of this." Why do you stay with a PCP that seems not to take you seriously or provide you with the treatment and solutions that you require? In my opinion we all need a PCP that we can relate to well. My PCP treats me not only as a patient but as a human being. She never diminishes my issues or pain no matter how trivial they may be.

You HIRED your PCP and you can fire him. PCP are service providers, not Gods. If you hired a plumber to fix a leak and after two service calls (and lots of $$$) you still had a leak what would you do? I hope you would say, fire him. In my opinion you need to do the same with your PCP.

There are very few if any Dr Houses out there. But there is a PCP for you. One that will be concerned enough and interested enough to do his job correctly. Talk to your friends and relatives they may be able to point you in the right direction. Or pick up the phone book or goggle and look for a new PCP. Good medical care can not be substituted.

I am sorry to hear about all your pain.  Have you tried talking to a different doctor or tried to get some 2nd opinions?  What does your current doctor say when you mention these issues?

It seems like you have multiple issues causing the pain.

As a possible pointer in the right direction, the main difference between Costochondritus and Tietze Syndrome is that in Tietze, you tend to get pain radiating out to the shoulders.

You might also want to consult with a gastroentorologist.

I hope you find some relief from your pain.
