left breast pain ...

I am a 29 year old an about a year ago I finaly dragged myself into the doctor due to I could no longer handle my pain in my breast, They had ended up doing four ultra sounds and four mammograms due to the fact I have very dense breast tissue, they found I had a fibroadnoma, my doctor had made a comment that it was odd to have pain with a fibroadnoma ...he seemed very agansit the removal of it and said that might not stop my breast from hurting, but he went throught with a a mamatoma biop. and put in a titanium ball where the lump was. I was pain free for four months and then the pain came back just like it felt before, I can't wear a bar, I can't touch my left breast, I went back he repeated the ultra sound and the mammogram and he said he saw nothing  expect a very very small cyst....I mentioned an MRI and he did not want to send me to one and said there was nothing he could do any more for me there is nothing there and he doesn't know what is causing my pain, I had stopped drinking coffee, and tea, stopped eating chocolate, I tried prim rose oil and tree oil, tried buying new bras, tried hot presses and cold packs, it's not realted to my periods, I even had my hormon levles checked, which were fine. It is not hot to the touch, there is no dimpling or pitting or puckering, the only thing other than pain I noticed was the texture to the side has thickened and it looks darker kinda like a burse a or like the pigmint changed to a darker shade ....and the pain is all the time, sometimes stabbing or sharpe, and sometimes it feel heavy ....almost like a let down feeling...no I'm not pregnant and I an not having any discharge...but the pain is so unbearable....I am scared to go back to the doctor...due to what happened last time at the doctor....so what do I do? I need help......

Hi there,
I have been experiencing the exact same symtoms as you and I know that your post is from a year ago but I was just wondering what was the final diagnosis of your pain . Like yourself my doctor is also being very dismissive of me and my wanting to have an MRI done. Thanks

Hello there,

I agree with the previous poster's comments. You definitely should get
a new doctor. Any doctor that says that's all I can do for you is coping
out, especially as you are in pain. Find a doctor who actually listens to
you. You could ask your girl friends the names of their doctors and ask
if their doctors are taking new patients. This new doctor hopefully will
examine you and it is my guess that you will be referred to a specialist.
You can tell the new doctor that a titanium ball into your left breast.
I've never heard of this procedure. Maybe that's why your doctor
wouldn't allow you to have an MRI. No metals are allowed in an MRI.
Good luck to you. Eve :)

You seem like a very smart young woman. Too bad your doctor isn't so smart. It sounds like your doctor isn't taking your pain as serious as you are (nice doctor), and is being very dismissive toward you. I gleaned all of this based on what you wrote to us. I'd seek out a second opinion, and hopefully that doctor will actually be a real doctor who listens to his patients and will send you down the right path towards recovery from whatever is wrong with you physically. Maybe the "second opinion" doctor is accepting new patients just like your accepting new doctors! ? !......I wish you the best of luck,
