I roo am without a doctor.  Mine also retired.  He had been my doctor since I was a small child!  It is really scary.  Also now that  he is gone, I am finding that I have the need for a doctor and am feeling a bit lost at sea!  I wish you well and wlcome to MedHelp.  This is a wonderful place for help & friendship and people helping people.

Welcome to MH. Your records still exist even though your doctor has retired, as I'm sure you know. I would obtain those records and see a local physician that you trust. In your position you should have good knowledge of the medical providers in the area.

If your retired physician keep good records valadiating your need for pain medication and your level of pain you should not encounter as much difficultly obtaining pain control meds as someone who is starting from scratch. They may want to repeat some tests to evaluate where you are now and if you have had any changes over the past 11 months. But I'm sure I am not telling you anything you don't already know.

Good luck in your search. I am sorry your pain has increased. I hope you are able to find pain control soon. Take Care, Tuck
