How do you indicate your choice of a best answer?

How do you indicate your choice of a best answer post to your original question ?
I'd like to do this, but I dont' know how to.  Thanks, Eve

I understand what your saying, and certainly don't think your dumb. The "reward-award" might motivate more people to answer more posts, and that's a good thing for the site in the long run. The more the merrier?

i really don't like the idea of a "reward-award" for posting. I think it is similar to getting a gold star in kindergarten. And invites a more competitive style----shaping or editing posts (perhaps unconsciously) with "best" in mind. It seems we could leave it to the poster to say what they wish to someone if they like what was said. And likewise you guys can all tell me how dumb that is! Hey----i am getting used to it.

I didn't know this site did a best answer "thingy"! I thought that was only on Yahoo answers. I guess I didn't notice because I mostly reply to peoples messages, and only rarely post messages.
