Random UA test/PMP

I went to my PMP the 1st ofJanuary, 2012, to get my MSContin and Oxycodone scripts.  He gave me a random UA test for MSContin, Oxycodone (for breakthrough pain), and Lyrica.  This is the first drug test from him in 2-3 years.  I had been taking less of my MSContin and Lyrica because of being in the"donut-hole" of Med.D script plan and , also trying to resolve co-pay of MSContin-generic back down to tier exception lower cost co-pay. We tryed to resolve the lower MSContin copay in his office for 45 min. with insurance co. to no avail..now have info. to have my PMP to help me resove this. The  rollover to a new year resolved the donut-hole issue paying full costs for my meds.I didn't have a clue about random drug testing, so didn't think to tell him I had been taking less for a month or so.  I am concerned what the results of the UA testing will show.

I did tell them when I last took all three, MSContin, Oxy, and Lyrica, before the UA. I was taking my Oxy on schedule, but cut down my MSC from 3x to 2x per day and my Lyrica to 2 per day to 1 1/2 per day.  I will contact my Drs office and leave them a message for Monday. Thank you for the advice.

I would urgently contact your Dr.s office to let them know that you were taking less of your MSContin....when was the last time you took it before the test?

I'm shocked that they didn't ask as they usually are filling out the forms before you go pee...And ask, when is the last time you took x med...b med...etc...

If you don't let them know now...It will come back with low or no levels and can cause them to think you are selling your medicine...And then by saying.."oh...I forgot to tell you"....This will "seem" shady...

If you weren't taking your MSContin....Were you taking more of your breakthrough pain Oxycodone to help with your pain? How about your Lyrica....did you take that on schedule?

I would contact them immediately, even leave a message for them for Monday to let them know....

Good luck..
