Sorry, no. I havent heard of it nor do i remember if any of my professors mentioned ablation of the nerve.
Though you could read inthe american asociation of orthopedic surgeons website. Had to read so i could understand the procedures.
From what ive read from there, it seems like it spares you from surgery as it is minimally invasive, and works immediately after procedure. Other forums suggest otherwise.
Your doctor could explain this further, but im glad there's another option other than complete surgery.
;)
Thanks again for getting back with me have you heard of nerve ablation, one of my doctors said I might benefit from that.
Oh so you've been to the therapist before. I'm sorry for not being much of help with that pain of yours. If therapy fails, last resort would really be surgery.
Try asking about a thoraco-lumbo-sacral corset, it prevents spine movement. I just dont know if in your case it will be applicable.
Well best of luck if you're pushing through surgery. I know you'll find a way.
:)

Not a disc bulge? Or disc prolapse? How long have you been feeling back pain before diagnosis? Have you seen a physical therapist lately?
Who places the TENS pads on your back? (I am a PT and just curious who places the pads because It should not be on the spine rather on the side of the vertebra). Anyways, have you tried a hot compress/hot moist pack on the area affected after using TENS? Just place it on that area for 20 mins. TENS as well is 20 mins.
Also, does spine extension alleviate pain? If it does try doing some spine extension like superman and hold it for 7 sec. before release. Do it 10 times twice a day, morning and before bed right after TENS and hot compress.
Hopefully that alleviate some of the pain. If all else fail surgery.
