Kids input on moving

Wife lives in Denver.  I just got a job in NC.  I want to get kids input about moving to NC so we can both parent them.  Am I being unfair to want to ask their input on moving.  They are 8 and 10 yrs old.  We are going through a divorce

If it is your intention to use the kids to pressure the wife to leave her job in Denver in order to move because you got a job in North Carolina, I would say that is pretty underhanded.  You say you want their "input," but it sounds like you just want to sell them on the idea.  I would leave them out of it and talk directly to your wife.

i dont think that its unfair... its actually very considerate of you, alot of times people dont take the time to talk the kids about how they are feeling about things, especially in this kinda of situation. at 8 and 10 i think that their opinions should have a very strong effect on Most of the decisions made by you and your ex wife.
