6 wks of elevated temp, no other symptoms

My lil guys have had an elevated tempature for over 6 wks now. I thought it was from his ears, so we went to the ENT, his tubes were out, ear filled w/ fuild, but no infection, we did a 2nd set of eat tubes and took out his adenoids and I figured that would be all. 3wks post op everything looks great, but he is still have an elevated temp, so I call the pedi. (at this point we were at wk 5 w/ the temps)

The Pedi's exam and blood work (counts, imflammation markers, blood cultures, ect) comes out clean. we are on week 7 I believe, I think I will call the allergist/immunologist next to pick her brain.

The moring temps are a lil high for him, but w/ in normal range 98.something (he is more of a low 97 kid in the mornings normally) and in the evening he runs about 100.6 (we have had lower days and higher days) This is not like him.

There seems to be no other symptoms, I am not seeing a change in bx, sleeping, eating or potty. He does have Hirschsprungs Disease, so his eating and potty are never consistant, but there is nothing outside of his "norm". He does not have a cough or runny nose.

Any Ideas?

It might be a long winded virus that has taken some time to start to go away. Though, really I'm not sure what possibilities would fit with the symptoms your son has. I would take him to another specialist this weekend and have them run some tests again. It's not healthy to have a high temp for longer than a week. Good luck!

bump to the top just in case anyone as any advice

BTW his temps have been better in the 99.8-100. range so that is improvement. The dr wanted me to give him a rest from taking the temps and start back up so I will at the end of the week.
