children's development

my 6yr old hasnt had anything to eat for 4 days now he only drinks water but very little, he ahd a glass of apple juice today...but he wont eat anything..we ask him and he says he's scared of food to ger stuck in his teeth, he lost about 7lbs already since the last time we weighed him,he was such a heavy eater, i am so worried he might get sick, he had jello yesterday and thats it. and nothing today but a glass of aj, should i be worried or is it normal for his age?

Call your pediatrician. She can tell you if it's something to worry about. I would worry personally. He's not just being picky. He has an actual fear of the food. That doesn't seem normal. Good Luck.

Did he say what happened last time he got food stuck in his teeth (so you can find out why he is so traumatized by that event)?  Did he gag and throw up when he tried to remove the food from between his teeth?  Did he get a cavity between his teeth?  I know at that age it can be difficult to get the information from them.  Parenting is not for the weak and weary!!!!  Kids are tough!  If he won't listen, maybe call a dentist or pediatrician and see if they can give you pointers.  The answer is never easy.  Hang in there.
