Hello. For a number of years now my daughter has suffered from bouts of nausea. In April 2016 the problem became persistent and for the last year she has felt sick nearly every day. The nausea can be slight and manageable to her feeling so sick she feels she is about to vomit. Sometimes she feels like fluid is coming up from her stomach, she has excess saliva in her mouth, pain near her solar plexus. She can feel sick before, during and after food. We have seen the doctor who has prescribed Omeprazole, Buscopan, Pirizetin, Gaviscon and Ondansetron. Nothing has worked. She has missed quite a lot of school as she just can't concentrate due to feeling so sick. The school have been fabulous and she is now able to leave the class to have a bit of fresh air and a gaviscon and some water when needed. She loves school and is doing really well. She is a county level swimmer, she does judo and athletics also but struggles to do any of these at the moment. She is frustrated as she just wants to feel normal again. We saw a consultant who did a couple of blood tests and when they came back normal decided that it was all in my daughters head. I take my hat off to my daughter as she has used the breathing exercises my mum taught her to help control the nausea. She doesn't want time off school or to avoid anything or anyone, she just wants to feel normal again. When she was a baby she used to scream, almost in pain, 24/7. Although not a sicky baby, if she gets a cough, she does two coughs and is sick. I have wondered whether she might have a hiatus hernia as the pain she feels in her solar plexus that radiates through to her back is similar to what I experience with my hernia. The doctor though this was not the case. We have tried a dairy free diet, Bowen technique, smaller but more regular meals, etc. At 11 years old she is facing a daily battle to carry on with everything and I just wondered if anybody on here has experience anything similar with a son or daughter or has some advice they would be willing to share. Thank you so much in advance for any help.
