Teeth!

My 5 month old son (just turned 5 months) has been drooling for the past 3 months. It's getting worse and worse and now he's soooo fussy. He chews on everything. Only Tylenol will make him feel better. The bad thing is, I can't see or feel a thing! How long did it take your littel ones to cut their first teeth? Did they teethe  for awhile before the teeth broke through?

It all sound too familiar for me :) They are probably getting close to popping out. My son is 15 months and drooling up a storm.. His molars are coming in. But usually he gets really bad just before they come out. Give it a couple of weeks. By really bad I mean be prepared for lack of sleeping a bad diaper rash or ven not eating as usual. They are all pretty common.Honestly I felt really bad about having to give my son Tylenol every 4 hours but it was the only thing that consoled him and now he's doing fine. They kind of get used to it and you will too. Good luck!!

LOL - I think my son drooling since he was born! He broke his 1st tooth at almost 6 months and his second one two days after the 1st one. He is now 9 months old and has 6 total and STILL DROOLING. Plastic backed bibs and motrin are wonderful! Most babys break teeth along the same line as the parents. My husband broke his 1st tooth at 4 months and mine was at 7 months.  Good luck!
